England are out of the world Cup. The Final score was 2-1 to Brazil, despite Brazil being reduced to 10 men. That decision by the referee to send off Ronaldinho at 58mins, one of Brazils best players and the second Brazilian goal scorer on 50 mins, for an apparent weak foul will receive much criticism. It means that Ronaldinho will miss the next match in the series. Not something that any team would want at that point of the tournament.

In many ways it was a rerun of the Brazil Turkey Match. Owens scored for England on 23 mins then Brazil came back just before half time, during the added on time for stoppages. Brazil then went ahead in the second half and kept the score line 2-1.

Considering we were loosing I was amazed that England bought on Darius Vassell for goal scorer Michael Owen in the 79th min. Some said he just wasn't getting the ball so was useless but he is still one of the best Strikers in England.

Perhaps the saddest thing is that Emile Heskey was finally showing what he can do and is made of when England gets kicked out of the tournament. I would like to think that Sven-Goran Eriksson was keeping the talents of Emile Heskey for the later stages of the tournament so that he could breath a new angle into the games ahead. He wont know be able to do that.

The good part of it is that this team is young enough to have another World Cup Tournament and, I for one, think that they did an amazing job amidst amazing turn after turn in this tournament. There was certainly a fair degree of luck in this tournament. The question must be could England be any luckier the next time. England are becoming a much better team, of that there is no doubt, but will they ever be good enough? Only time will tell.
